red wine on wall, site specific
A wall painted with red wine absorbs the deep red liquid and dries to a bluish-grey hue, initially filling the room with an ephemeral, sweet and sour scent. Over time, the color gradually shifts and lightens toward a reddish-orange-brown.

The photographs document the attempt of a controlled, chemical-mechanical deinstallation through erasure. An automated experimental setup continuously moves a lemon in circles to draw organic color pigments from the plaster using natural acid. The work red (2023/2024), a wall surface painted entirely with red wine in 2023/2024, serves as the basis. The setup aims at the controlled bleaching of this existing work.
